This is one airline I never wanna see fail.
Started in 1927 flying airmails, PanAm grew by leaps and bounds but was unable to keep up with her modern competition. The A310s as featured here was the queen of the skies between mainland US and Heathrow during the mid/late 1980s.
In 1991 however she succumbed to the ground after a long fight with her financial illness. The Heathrow route was then passed on to United and Delta.
A few attempts were made since then to take her to the skies again, but to date she was still unable to really take-off.
PanAm was one of a few great early airlines that has contributed
to the art and romance of flying.

Maskapai PanAm yang lahir ditahun 1927 terpaksa mendarat untuk selama-lamanya pada tahun 1991 setelah bergulat sekian lama dengan masalah finansialnya. Rute US- Heathrow yang dipegangnya terpaksa diambil-alih oleh United dan Delta. A310 diatas merupakan armada utama yang dipakai PanAm untuk jalur gemuk ini. ( Credit: Dragon )
